I am a grandson of the late Carl Menno Lehman 1915-1998  Bluffton, Ohio (respected retired accountant at what is now Bluftton University 1954-1979).  If I recall the story correctly most of grandpa Carl's grandparents and great grand parents lived in the Emmental area of Switzerland in the Canton of Bern.  Grandpa Carl met at least one of his biological first cousins in Switzerland awhile back when he travelled to Europe. Grandpa's cousin was married to a A Wehrmacht soldier veteran (probably long dead by now).  One of grandpa Lehman's sons (my father) went for a little excursion in the midst of the Vietnam war intending to evade the draft, in the tradition of Mennonites who didn't want to become mercenaries and fight wars that didn't concern them.

I'd love to share more information just as soon as someone responds.   I wish I could live and work on an organic farm in a pristine Alpine village like the ones in Switzerland.  What could be more safe for children?

Anyways, there's nothing very special about my life.   I'm going through a phase doing a little research about how my ancestors lived, hence the screenname (Ogretorix the ancient Helvetii leader)

I think if I were to visit Switzerland right now, even if I had the money, I'd feel about as awkward as Clark Griswald (American Actor Chevy Chase) in European vacation.
